Are you a therapist who needs supervised clinical hours?

This new and unique internship site seeks out mature master level graduates who returned to school after gaining work/life experience in other occupations such as teacher, nurse, private industry and who now may work in a job setting that has not provided a forum for collecting supervised clinical hours or who wish to gain more hours toward licensure.  

The clients we serve at LAC typically represent the multi-cultural diversity of our neighborhoods. We do not discriminate re: individual choices regarding religion, politics, age, disability, sexual preferences.  Clients pay out-of-pocket according to their ability, the funds of which support this program, together with the financial assistance of our parent private practice, Life Focus Center, Inc.    Future grant money also will help support this venture.

Unlike other internship settings, at Life Achievement Center, you may choose the number of hours you work per week, but no less than four, and what days and times.  You will, however, need to adjust your time to fit into the time and dates of supervision.   At this time, most appointments are provided via telehealth.  Associates will be provided access to our HIPAA protected platform.  

Since Life Achievement Center is a non-profit organization, you may collect clinical hours in this setting should you pass the six- year limit while collecting your hours.  

You will volunteer your time and will receive supervision in exchange, whether individual, dyadic or triadic.  Depending on your performance, you may receive gift cards from time-to-time and/or a thank you gratuity upon completion of your hours at LAC.  

After successfully passing your licensing exam, we may extend to you an offer to become part of our multi-cultural team at our group private practice, Life Focus Center, Inc.
